TEEN SERVICES

Healthy Relationships for Teens – Established in 1994, this program helps to address the serious and sometimes fatal epidemic of teen domestic violence by educating teenagers and young mothers about dating violence. The goals are to prevent intimate partner violence and assist those who are in trouble. Educational presentations, conducted at local schools and organizations, reach approximately 1,000 young people annually.

Respect for All – The Respect for All project for teens uses award-winning films and group discussions to reduce prejudice and prejudicial actions. The program was originally developed by Groundspark, a San Francisco-based national non-profit that creates films and educational campaigns to uproot entrenched prejudices.

Every six seconds a woman is abused, every day a senior is malnourished and lives in poverty, and every day a child goes to sleep unloved and unnoticed. “WHY ARE WE STILL HAVING THIS CONVERSATION?" Before you can ask yourself this question,  another woman or child has been abused. Through your generosity, the YWCA San Gabriel Valley can continue to shelter these women and their children in a safe environment surrounded by love and people who care. Through your generous contribution, another senior citizen can have a hot, nourishing meal. Through your generous contribution, we can continue to Eliminate Racism and Empower Women!  Thank you for your support.
