WINGS Domestic Violence Services

YWCA-WINGS (Women in Need Growing Strong) is a multi-purpose domestic violence program providing services to victims of domestic violence with compassion, understanding and cultural sensitivity. An integral part of the YWCA-WINGS mission to educate and empower women to be self-sufficient.

YWCA-WINGS was founded in 1978 as a 24-hour rape crisis help line. The volume of domestic violence calls prompted its creators to alter its mission to include a full-service shelter for battered women. Since then, YWCA-WINGS helps approximately 1,500 women annually through its residential and non-residential site. If you know someone who needs help, call our 24-hour help line at (626) 967-0658.

Every six seconds a woman is abused, every day a senior is malnourished and lives in poverty, and every day a child goes to sleep unloved and unnoticed. “WHY ARE WE STILL HAVING THIS CONVERSATION?" Before you can ask yourself this question,  another woman or child has been abused. Through your generosity, the YWCA San Gabriel Valley can continue to shelter these women and their children in a safe environment surrounded by love and people who care. Through your generous contribution, another senior citizen can have a hot, nourishing meal. Through your generous contribution, we can continue to Eliminate Racism and Empower Women!  Thank you for your support.
