Leadership Development

The YWCA San Gabriel Valley offers women and girls many unique opportunities to develop and enhance their leadership skills: serving on a Committee, Board of Directors, direct volunteer service in a YWCA Program as well as in-service training, workshops and seminars.

The National YWCA General Assembly voted by 91% on May 3, 2009, to revise the YWC A mission statement to the following:

YWCA is dedicated to eliminating
racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom,
and dignity for all."
